Rotating Telehandler Lease

The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility {PSNS & IMF), Contracting Department (Code 400), is issuing this Request for Quotes [RFQ]. This RFQ is being issued as a means of Solicitation to identify industrial capabilities that might exist in order to support an upcoming requirement for the Rental of a ‘Rotating Telehandler’

For additional information regarding the technical specifications, please refer to the attached Performance Work Statement {PWS).

                          The PSC Code W039 “Lease or Rental of Equipment—Materials Handling Equipment Services”

NAICS code is determined to be 532490, “Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing” with a large business standard of $40,000,000.

Based on the received responses, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part), or procured through full and open competition (unrestricted), the government intent at this time is for a single award. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, the government will not be providing evaluations or comments to companies providing Quotes but the responses will be used to inform the government as to the best means of procuring this requirement.

This is RFQ does constitute a solicitation, but shall not be construed as a commitment by the government. Responses in any form are QUOTES ONLY and not OFFERS, the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of ANY submitted quote. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future Request For Quote (RFQ) or Invitation For Bid (IFB) or Request For Proposals (RFP), if issued.

Project Background: 
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS) is an industrial complex whose mission is to maintain, modernize and retire the Navy fleet with a vision of on-time maintenance, modernization, and retirement of the U.S. Navy's fleet. The shipyard in Bremerton is the Pacific Northwest's largest naval shore facility and one of Washington State's largest industrial installations. 

In order to accomplish this mission PSNS utilizes a wide array of material handling equipment including Commercially leased Rotating Telehandlers. Please review the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Required Capabilities and technical specs are outlined in the attached PWS.  (Attachment 1).
