Sexton Remediation Project; EPIMS-HUM-62697-R1C

The Sexton Remediation Project, identified as EPIMS-HUM-62697-R1, is a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement executed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. The project is located in Humboldt County within the Larabee Creek/Eel River watershed, specifically at Assessor's Parcel Number 217-391-007, approximately one mile northwest of Blocksburg. The primary objective is to remediate a parcel that was developed without the required permits through three specific encroachments. The scope of work involves decommissioning a stream crossing, removing water diversion infrastructure, and reconnecting a stream channel that was previously obliterated by grading activities. These efforts will include excavation, backfilling and compaction of fill, and the application of rock armoring to minimize erosion. The project is categorized as exempt under California Code of Regulations title 14, sections 15304 and 15321, as no significant adverse environmental impacts are anticipated.
