Snow Clearing & Nub Removal - Whitehorse Scales

The Government of Yukon is soliciting bids under RFB-2026-8-5537 for snow clearing, sanding, and nub removal services at the Whitehorse Weigh Scales Yard located at KM1420 Alaska Highway. This three-year contract covers a main yard of approximately 10,000 square meters and two entry points of 800 square meters each. The scope of work includes general yard clearing, nub removal, sanding, and annual spring sweeping. Contractors are required to stockpile snow in designated areas and must utilize sand spreaders with at least a one-meter fan radius. The contract is awarded based on bid pricing, which is subject to Bid Value Reductions for Yukon First Nation business ownership, location, and labor. Pricing is structured on a per-visit model with estimated annual quantities of 20 general clearings, 20 nub removals, 10 sanding visits, and one spring sweep. Payment for satisfactorily completed work is processed within 30 calendar days of invoice receipt and is not subject to GST/HST. Awardees must provide a Letter of Compliance from the Workers Safety and Compensation Board and proof of adequate insurance. The agreement is governed by the laws of the Yukon and the Financial Administration Act.
