This is a pre-solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The United States Penitentiary Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, intends to make multiple awards for perishable subsistence items. Delivery date will be the week of October 11 - 15 2010, delivery may be specific for individual line items. Deliveries will be made to USP Lewisburg, 2400 Robert F. Miller Drive, Lewisburg, Pa. 17837. The Government will award to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is considered to be most advantageous to the Government on a per line item basis. Past performance and price will be considered. No substitutions will be allowed. The solicitation will be made available on or about September 01, 2010. It will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website www.fbo.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 14, 2010. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
