The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Inspector General, Office of Audits & Evaluations, will host its FY26 Operational Planning Meeting in Houston, TX, from August 23 to 28, 2026. The event requires seven meeting rooms including one general session space configured in classroom style to accommodate at least 106 attendees with optimal sightlines, and five breakout rooms each able to hold a minimum of 25 participants, with airwalls permitted. A quiet room for approximately 10 people is also desired if available at no additional cost. All rooms must be equipped with full A/V capabilities, including a mainstage podium, multiple lavalier and handheld wireless microphones, and at least two screens in the general session, with each breakout room requiring a podium, one lavalier mic, two handheld mics, and one presentation screen. High-reliability Wi-Fi must be available throughout all spaces to support virtual attendees. The event location must be within half a mile of dining options in the Galleria area of Houston to ensure accessibility for attendees who cannot rent vehicles due to mobility limitations. Light refreshments including coffee, tea, water, and standard snacks are required during 30-minute morning and afternoon breaks from Monday through Thursday.
