Cablecast VIO2 OMNI System and ServicesHillsborough County plans to acquire the Cablecast VIO2 OMNI System and related services as it offers a uniquely comprehensive platform that integrates automation, live streaming, scheduling, channel branding, and on-demand content delivery within a single unified environment. The system supports a broad range of county operational needs, including cable television automation, live government meeting broadcasts, video-on-demand publishing, and OTT streaming across various devices and platforms. It also ensures government meeting transparency and archiving, bulletin board services, remote monitoring, and future scalability without requiring core system replacement. The solution combines robust hardware with sophisticated software, featuring enterprise-grade broadcast servers, redundant power supplies, RAID-protected and expandable storage, and support for multiple streaming protocols. Additionally, the system provides dedicated functionalities like character generation for public bulletins and emergency information, cloud-based disaster recovery and content delivery, and custom-branded applications for popular streaming devices and mobile operating systems. Direct integration between channel schedules, live streams, and content libraries enables streamlined workflows and consistent branding across cable, web, and mobile platforms. Hillsborough County is not seeking competitive bids but invites contractors to submit challenges if they believe alternative solutions meet all requirements before the stated deadline; absent such challenges, the contract award is expected to proceed with the specified provider.
