UM - BLDG 7474H HK 18 REPAIR GRAVITY MAIN UNDER STREAM, JBPHH

This project, managed by Navfac Hawaii for the Department of the Navy, involves the replacement of a 10-inch ductile iron line extending from SMH 1174A to the influent manhole at SLS HK-18. The existing infrastructure is severely corroded and suffers from significant groundwater infiltration, which has led to frequent pump cycling. The scope of work specifically addresses the section of the line traversing under the Hickam canal. To resolve these issues, the project considers both traditional repair methods and the use of directional drilling to install the new line beneath the canal.
