Maximo WO:HMJG4X. Provide critical structural repairs for corrosion damage at Waimalu Stream Bridge, Aiea. Bridge is situated along the Pearl Harbor Bike Path. The pedestrian portion of the bridge (circled in red on lower left photo) is owned/maintained by City and County of Honolulu (CCH). However, the portion of bridge supporting the Navy 36-in water transmission line(denoted by yellow arrows in lower right photo) is owned/maintained by the Navy. A CCH bridge inspection report identified severe corrosion of the beams supporting the waterline. Need coordination for construction access/laydown easements on non-navy land adjacent to the waterline and bridge. Overwater work will be required for the repairs. Due to extents of deterioration, temporary fixes may be required ahead of the final repair work (still being assessed). Project preference is for AE design and design-bid-build process. Multiple construction actions may be needed due to critical nature of project (temporary / permanent fixes) Photo below is an excerpt from the CHH Waimalu Stream Bridge Inspection report showing the deteriorated condition of pipe bridge girder.
