The U.S. Government, through the General Services Administration, is seeking to lease office space within the Seaport District of Boston, Massachusetts. The requested space must be between 5,000 and 5,250 ANSI/BOMA Office Area square feet and accommodate a 10-year full term lease with a firm commitment of 5 years. The lease must be fully serviced and meet stringent federal requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic standards, and sustainability. Additionally, the offering must include 15 unreserved parking spaces and comply with current Government telecommunications restrictions, specifically those outlined under Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act. Prospective landlords are invited to submit written expressions of interest by June 15, 2026, and must provide detailed information about the offered space, including building layout, square footage, rental rates (both rentable and ABOA SF), tenant improvement costs, parking availability, and building ownership. The Government will assess options not only based on cost but also considering potential relocation expenses such as moving costs, tenant improvements, and downtime. This solicitation reflects the need to replace an existing lease in Boston, with an emphasis on economic efficiency and operational continuity. The U.S. Government currently occupies office and related space in a building under a lease in Boston, MA, that will be expiring. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government’s requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
