The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center plans to negotiate a sole source one-year lease contract with Fujifilm Medical Systems for GI Endoscopes at the Hines VA Hospital in Illinois. The lease equipment must be compatible with existing Fujinon Endoscopes and accessories currently owned by the hospital. This procurement is justified under FAR 6.302-1 as only one responsible source can meet the agency's requirements, making it a firm fixed-price contract under NAICS Code 532490. The notice is not a solicitation for competitive proposals, and no solicitation documents will be provided. However, if other firms believe they can fulfill the requirements, they must submit detailed information about their products and services, along with customer references, by the specified deadline. These submissions will be evaluated, but the government holds sole discretion to proceed without competition. If no viable responses are received, the VA will move forward with sole source negotiations with the incumbent provider. Capability statements must be emailed in Microsoft Word or PDF format, and telephonic inquiries will not be entertained.
