Revise the DD1391 planning documents and prepare a Design-Bid-Build RFP package to award a FY23 construction contract for renovating a portion of Building 479 3rd floor for a DLA Indo-Pacific Operations Center. Planning documents were previously completed in June 2021 for the project on the 2nd floor of Building 479 (see attached DD1391). This WTR request relocates the project to a portion of the 3rd floor of Building 479; space presently used by DLA for printing production (see attached photos). Building 479 is the DLA Indo-Pacific headquarters building and DLA presently occupies the entire 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. The project proposes to renovate a portion of existing DLA printing production spaces on the 3rd floor of Building 479 for a DLA Operations Center of approximately 3,500 SF. The DLA Operations Center will include a central command and control area, offices for approximately 12 personnel, conference space, communications area, and telecommunications support spaces. Project work includes architectural, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, security and telecommunications systems. A conceptual project location and photos of the existing space are attached. Request award of a FY23 construction contract in order to meet SECDEF Memorandum on Contingency Plans Handling Guidance dated 19 March 2021.
