The Wildcat DxP Stewardship Integrated Resource Service Contract is a Forest Service project located in Cle Elum, focused on the removal of a significant volume of standing dead timber. Because current market conditions and facilities no longer support the inclusion of non-saw timber in standard contracts, a stewardship service contract will be utilized to offset the costs associated with cutting, skidding, and decking these materials. The primary objective of this effort is to meet the project's purpose and need by clearing the units to ensure successful follow-up burn treatments. This forecast, categorized under NAICS code 113310, is managed by the Department of Agriculture and serves as a critical step in forest management and hazard reduction.

Full Description

This is a timber sale that has a large about of standing dead timber in it. We plan on utilizing a Stewardship service contract to offset the costs to cut/skid/ and deck all of the non-saw given that markets and facilities no longer support this being included in standard contracts and the removal is needed in order to meet the purpose and need of the project and set the units up for successful follow up burn treatments.
