KTR is contracted by Navfac Washington to replace a failed relief valve on a heat exchanger located in the basement at the Bethesda FSC. The scope of work includes isolating the steam and water valves, draining residual water to ensure a safe working environment, installing the new relief valve, and restoring flows to verify the new component's operation. As part of the process, the contractor will section off the heat exchanger to test the bundle for internal leaks and provide a final report of their findings. It is explicitly noted that while the testing for internal leaks is included, any necessary repairs resulting from a discovered leak are not covered under this specific agreement.
