The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of providing supplies and services in support of the 2026 Air Force Marathon. This is not a solicitation but a request for capability packages to assess industry capacity and inform future acquisition decisions, including the potential use of a small business set-aside. Interested vendors must demonstrate technical compliance with the Statement of Work by clearly specifying which requirements they can fulfill, whether individually or in combination, and provide detailed evidence of their ability to meet stated specifications. All respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management and self-certify compliance with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 1, affirming adherence to 15 federal safeguarding requirements for Federal Contract Information. Submissions must be concise, not exceeding five pages, and include information on foreign ownership status, subcontracting plans that account for limitations on subcontracting and the non-manufacturer rule, and certifications confirming eligibility under small business programs such as 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, SDB, or SDVOSB. Responses must be emailed to the designated point of contact by July 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM Eastern Time, with the exact subject line “2026 Air Force Marathon – Multiple Requirements” to avoid filtering. Only PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, or XLSX attachments are permitted; ZIP or EXE files will be deleted. No contractual obligations arise from submissions, the government will not reimburse costs, and vendors will not receive individual feedback. The final acquisition strategy, including competition type, remains at the government’s discretion and will be determined based on the responses received.

  • No Active Solicitation: A solicitation for this requirement does not exist; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract will be solely within the Government's discretion.
  • Not a Contractual Offer: Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
  • Voluntary Submissions & No Reimbursement: Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought is purely voluntary. This notice is not a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information.
  • Assessments & Notifications: Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any Government assessments.
  • Acquisition Strategy: The Government reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based upon the capability statements received. This market research will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition, a total small business set-aside, or a set-aside for a particular small business program. Note: A small business set-aside decision has not yet been made.
