PW WIB FORM 1. WORK LOCATION BASE: Point Mugu BUILDING NO.: PM372 2. LOCATION POC NAME 3. PROJECT TITLE: Air Compressor Upgrade PM372 4. IMPACT: The existing air compressor system for Hangar PM372 is outdated, degraded and not performing to required aircraft maintenance standards. The air compressor is currently being repaired on a frequent basis and has outlived its life expectancy. Updating the central ground air system will provide proper air pressures across the hangar and allow for multiple aircraft to be maintained concurrently. VX-30 maintains multiple aircraft requiring routine maintenance schedules be completed indoors and must have adequate pressure ratings to meet aircraft maintenance protocol. 5. DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: - Remove existing compressor, awning, dryer, shed, storage tank, and exterior plumbing and dispose - Interior plumbing can be reused if suitable; install new disconnects at all outlets. -- All new plumbing shall be thick wall copper pipe -- All quick disconnect connection points are required to be provided with filter, regulator, and lubricator (FRL), new quick disconnects, a ball valve to isolate FRL, and a ball valve for drain down - New compressor, filter/dryer, oil/water separator, mist eliminator, main pressure regulator, and storage tank shall be supplied and sized suitably to meet all aircraft & hangar requirements - All necessary supplies to complete the installation shall be provided - An enclosure shall be provided to protect all installed equipment external to the hangar equipment and at a minimum an awning shall be provided to protect the air storage tank Recommended eq ...
