The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is conducting market research to gather information on two categories of vehicles: hazardous material vehicles and mobile command posts. A meeting to facilitate this research is scheduled for December 17, 2002, at the EPA offices in Washington, D.C.; the exact room will be determined by the number of responses received and communicated to participants prior to the event. The purpose of this meeting is to identify potential small business or other capable suppliers, assess the availability of commercial or modified commercial items suitable for the agency’s needs, understand industry practices such as warranties and delivery options, and discuss government specifications including possible amendments. Interested contractors are encouraged to review the government specifications, which will be posted online starting December 2, 2002, and submit any questions along with a one-page capability statement and two past performance references by December 13, 2002. Notifications of attendance, including requests for limited phone line access for those unable to attend in person, are due by December 6, 2002. The EPA emphasizes that this is not a solicitation or an offer request, and no binding contracts will be formed from information submitted. Further details and updates will be posted on the EPA’s Superfund/RCRA Regional Procurement Operations Division website, with Melissa Onyszko serving as the government point of contact for all inquiries.
