Caltrans District 7 has approved an encroachment permit for Southern California Edison to replace a deteriorated utility pole, identified as pole 1089710E, within the Caltrans right-of-way. The project is located in unincorporated Ventura County in the eastbound direction of State Route 150 at post mile 3.91. The scope of work includes the installation of a new pole requiring an excavation 6 feet deep with average dimensions of 2 feet by 2 feet, as well as the implementation of necessary traffic control activities. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired. The project is governed by CEQA Class 2c and NEPA Activity 6 categorical exclusions.
