AI Contract Overview
The New York City Department of Investigation intends to engage Epstein Becker & Green PC through a negotiated acquisition for professional investigative services. The firm will assist the DOI in conducting an investigation into the knowledge held by mayoral administrations regarding environmental toxins resulting from the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and will help draft a final report for submission to the City Council. This procurement method was chosen due to the time-sensitive nature of the City Council's July 14, 2027 deadline and the limited number of vendors capable of performing such specialized work. The total proposed contract amount is 3,810,000.00 dollars, with a performance period running from November 2, 2026, to July 17, 2027. The agreement includes the possibility of three optional one-year renewals at the discretion of the DOI. Interested parties were invited to submit comments or concerns regarding the provider to the agency by October 8, 2026.
