The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Hamilton Sundstrand, Windsor Locks, CT 06096, for a trade study that identifies and quantifies cost, schedule, and technical 54460 & NP2000 integration requirements possessed by various proposed control system upgrades for the T56-A-427 for both E-2C Hawkeye 2000 and Advanced Hawkeye weapon system configurations. The 54460 and NP2000 propeller integration requirements will be consolidated with engine OEM and Air Vehicle OEM trade study inputs in order to provide a thorough quantification of trade study parameters for each control system trade study option. Hamilton Sundstrand is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the 54460 and NP2000 propellers and is, therefore, the only source that possesses the resources and indepth technical knowledge and technical data necessary to provide these services within the time required to meet USN requirements.
