The Communications-Engineering Research, Development and Engineering Center's Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate is hosting an Industry Day on March 22, 2007, at the Myer Center of Fort Monmouth, NJ. This event aims to inform industry representatives and government agencies about the technologies developed to support the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Handheld, Manpack, and Small Form Fit (HMS) Radios. The focus is on the Affordable Software Defined Radio (SDR) Components for the JTRS Army Technology Objective - Manufacturing (ATO-M), a Manufacturing Technology initiative that targets the reduction of Size, Weight, Power, and Cost (SWAP-C) of the Small Form Fit core transceiver. This core transceiver is designed for reuse across all JTRS SFF variants, making this effort crucial for the overall program's success. The ATO-M program, which began in fiscal year 2003, has made significant progress in four key technology areas related to the core transceiver: Chip Scale Packaging for the baseband processor, a 10W Gallium Nitride (GaN) power amplifier, wideband tunable RF filters, and RF Integrated Circuit chipsets. These advancements aim to minimize development risks and improve manufacturing efficiencies for the JTRS HMS radios. Interested parties are encouraged to RSVP by March 16, 2007, and non-government visitors must complete a visitor access form for Fort Monmouth. Technical inquiries can be directed to Lisa Rulli, while RSVPs should be sent to June Zimmerman.

Full Description

The Communications-Engineering Research, Development and Engineering Center's Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate will be hosting an Industry Day on Thursday, 22 March 2007. The purpose of this Industry Day is to make industry, as well other Government agencies, aware of the existence and availability of technologies developed in support of the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Handheld, Manpack and Small Form Fit (HMS) Radios. The Affordable Software Defined Radio (SDR) Components for JTRS Army Technology Objective - Manufacturing (ATO-M) is a Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) effort initiated to reduce the risks of the JTRS HMS Small Form Fit (SFF) development. The SDR JTRS AT O-M is focused on reducing the Size, Weight and Power - Cost (SWAP-C) of the SFF core transceiver. The core transceiver will be reused throughout all variants of the JTRS SFF and therefore allows this ManTech effort to make the greatest possible impact on SWAP-C for the overall JTRS program. The SDR JTRS ATO-M began in FY03 and has been working on four technology areas that relate to the core transceiver; Chip Scale Packaging (CSP) for the baseband processor, a 10W power amplifier based on GaN, wideband tunable RF filters, and an RF Integrated Circuit (RFIC) chipset. Great strides have been made in these technology areas and the SDR MTO would like to make industry as well as the government aware of their existence and availability. The SDR JTRS ATO-M Industry Day will be held at the Myer Center of Ft. Monmouth, NJ on Thursday, 22 March 2007. Questions of a technical nature should be addressed to Lisa Rulli at +1 (555) 000-0000 or contact@example.gov. Attached is the Visitors Access For m required for non-government visitors at Fort Monmouth. Please RSVP to June Zimmerman at +1 (555) 000-0000 or contact@example.gov by COB 16 March 2007.

Bolstering Underutilized Industry by Leveraging Technology Transfer (BUILTT) pilot program
Solicitation # 10292026-LR-27
The Department of Energy, in partnership with the National Nuclear Security Administration, has announced the Bolstering Underutilized Industry by Leveraging Technology Transfer (BUILTT) pilot program. This initiative, conducted by the Nevada National Security Sites, Y-12 National Security Complex, and Kansas City National Security Campus, aims to assist qualified U.S. small and medium-sized businesses in manufacturing low-volume, high-impact technologies developed by DOE/NNSA Labs, Plants, and Sites. These technologies, which include specialized optical imaging, radiation and chemical sensing systems, precision electrical components, and advanced materials, often have limited commercial markets but are critical for government mission requirements. Under the program, selected businesses may receive a Cost Reduction License (CRL) for a nominal fee, granting them the rights to produce specified technologies for sale to the DOE, NNSA, and other government customers at pre-negotiated prices. Eligibility is limited to U.S.-based SMBs, with preference given to those near participating sites or those with SBA 8(a) or HUBZone designations. Interested parties are evaluated based on their technical and manufacturing capabilities, financial capacity, and ability to meet regulatory and security requirements. Responses must be submitted to the Technology Partnerships and Intellectual Property Office by April 1, 2027, and are categorized under NAICS code 541715.
