Beaumont Corporate Yard Project

The Beaumont Corporate Yard Project involves the development of a 6.15-acre site located at the southwest intersection of 4th Street and Veile Avenue in Beaumont, California. This multi-departmental facility will support Transit, Fleet Maintenance, Community Services, Public Works, and Wastewater operations. The scope of work includes the construction of a 10,100 square foot Administration Building, a 10,575 square foot Fleet Garage, a 12,100 square foot Warehouse, and specialized canopies for welding and wash bays. To support sustainable operations, the site will feature a Hydrogen Fueling Station, a Compressed Natural Gas fueling station, Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure, and up to 200 parking spaces with both uncovered and solar-covered options. The facility is designed to accommodate up to 100 employees with specific operating hours from Monday to Friday. The project is governed by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and includes a comprehensive Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program to manage environmental and cultural impacts. Key requirements include the use of a Qualified Archaeologist and Tribal Monitor during ground-disturbing activities, adherence to nesting bird season restrictions from February 1st to August 31st, and compliance with South Coast Air Quality Management District and Regional Water Quality Control Board standards. Technical assessments have concluded that the project will have less than significant impacts on air quality, global climate change, noise, and vehicle miles traveled. Construction is expected to begin in early 2027 and last approximately 18 months, following the project approval granted on August 14, 2026.
