SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, operated by Stanford University for the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking a U.S.-based supplier for two custom linear diamond gratings on single-crystal CVD diamond substrates, each featuring two gratings with distinct pitch and duty cycle specifications on a single 10 mm x 10 mm frame with a thickness of approximately 100 micrometers. The first grating has a 980 nm pitch with duty cycles of 30% and 40%, requiring a guaranteed depth of 3.5 micrometers, while the second has a 2000 nm pitch with the same duty cycles and a guaranteed depth of 5 micrometers; each grating measures approximately 2 mm by 1 mm, with grooves oriented parallel to the 1 mm edge and engraving aligned to SLAC-provided CAD designs. Optional enhanced depth variants are available for both substrates, subject to fabrication feasibility. The contract is awarded under the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable method, with technical compliance, pricing, and delivery evaluated per the attached Source Selection Plan. Only entities registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) are eligible, and proposals must include a Buy American Act Certificate, proper marking of proprietary information, and certification of compliance. Performance is governed by SLAC’s Terms and Conditions for Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services (August 2023) and its Supplemental Rider (August 2026), which establish warranty, indemnity, confidentiality, dispute resolution, and quality assurance obligations.
