Confined Space Meter Work Contract
All proposals for this project will be submitted through Aquarion Water Authority’s(AWA) E-Bid system and will remained sealed until 2:00 PM, current local time, on Friday, Sept 25th, at which time and place submitted bids will reviewed by AWA. Bids may be submitted anytime before this deadline.
The service department for Aquarion Water Authority is looking for contractors to performed scheduled work for moving meters from a confined space to an accessible non-confined space. This is a yearly budgeted service program and Aquarion is bidding for a multiyear contract. There are 18 projects planned at this point.
            Work may include but will not be limited to:
-          Plumbing work to remove meter from confined space
-          Excavation of service lines
-          Excavation and installation of new meter vault
-          Plumbing work to install meter in new build or meter vault
Contractors will need to have P-1 license plumber on staff, crews trained in confined spaces; basic first aid and CPR. Proof of certification will need to be provided.
