The contract grants the City University of New York (CUNY), specifically at 160 Convent Ave, New York, NY, access to UpToDate, Inc.'s point-of-care medical resource from November 1, 2023, through October 31, 2024, for a duration of one year. This procurement was approved as a single-source exemption by the New York State Comptroller’s Office on February 15, 2024, due to the unique qualifications of UpToDate, Inc. that made a competitive bidding process impractical. The contract is valued between $100,000 and $500,000, and the procurement process was not advertised publicly because of the specific circumstances that warranted a sole-source award. Questions or comments regarding this procurement should be directed to Kathy Bravo, the Finance Procurement Manager at CUNY, via email at [email hidden] or by phone at [phone hidden]. The notice was posted on May 13, 2024, with an end date for responses set for May 20, 2024. This contract is part of CUNY’s efforts to ensure continued access to essential medical resources without the need for a competitive bidding process, reflecting the specialized nature of the service and the provider’s unique qualifications.
