NAVFAC PROJECT MAXIMO LOCATION: NBSD-17 Scope of work • 1.1 Demolition & Removal (if applicable): o This is for the SWRMC occupied workspace on the east side of bldg. 17. Measurement for total space is 44’x67’x20’(ceiling) o Demo existing gas heaters in space (2). • 1.2 Site Preparation: o Installation will require elevated work platform (scaffolding or man lift) to reach install sites along wall o Installation will require coring through exterior walls for vent lines and possibly larger gas lines o Space has a large roll-up door so placement of heaters will have to take this into account • 1.3 Construction/Repair: o If required, install new gas meter and isolation valve(s). This will require coordination with NBSD Utilities for oversight and certifying connection with Interconnection Specialist o Run new gas lines from meter to accommodate required number of heaters o Install heaters along exterior and large interior wall keeping in mind the requirement for venting. No venting through the ceiling if possible o Install isolation valves at each heater for maintenance/emergencies o Install manual thermostat/operating switch below each heater. • 1.4 Impacts to the Base o Minimal impact to base, possible lay down will coordinate with SWRMC assigned spaces. SAR: TBD L/A test: FMS to submit AC waiver: N/A Funding Type: CUST Contact FMS with any questions prior to and upon completion of work.
