On June 16, 2026 the County of Los Angeles BOS approved the MJP Make Ready Project, including the project budget and appropriation adjustment. The Project consist of site clearing, a new parking lot, new traffic light, electric vehicle charging stations, and other landscaping improvements. The Board certified in April 2018 Addendum 1 for the revised Master Plan, which covered the make ready work. The Board previously certified the 2016 EIR for the Earvin "Magic" Johnson Park Master Plan.
