ELEVATOR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE - COPY

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is seeking qualified service providers through an Agency Specific Term Contract to provide all-inclusive preventative maintenance for elevators, dumbwaiters, and freight lifts across various correctional institutions and administrative offices. The scope of work includes monthly inspections, testing, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure equipment remains in adequate operating condition. All services must comply with ANSI-A17.1 and ANSI-A17.2 safety codes, as well as OSHA and other state and federal regulations. The contract is divided into four geographic regions: Central, Eastern, South Central, and Western. The contract term is three years, with a total value potentially reaching up to 1,000,000 dollars. Awards will be granted to responsive bidders offering the lowest price, and the state may award the contract to a single vendor or multiple vendors by region. Eligible bidders must be North Carolina registered vendors in good standing and provide certifications regarding financial stability, non-collusion, and a drug-free workplace. Due to the nature of the facilities, vendors must adhere to strict security protocols, including obtaining security clearances and prohibiting any communication with inmates. Bids must be submitted via the Sourcing Tool by October 27, 2026. The pricing structure requires fixed monthly and annual costs, where minor repairs are defined as those under 2,500 dollars and are included in the scope, while major repairs exceeding 2,500 dollars require separate procurement requisitions. Maintenance must be performed during normal business hours, and vendors are prohibited from substituting key personnel without prior written approval from the Contract Lead.
