The Vendor will be required to plan and execute Ministry engagement initiatives and events such as experiential marketing programs and food sampling at grocery locations and a small number of other locations where local food is sold (e.g., farmers’ markets, on-farm market). Locations of store activations will be balanced province-wide. Multiple waves of activations will be required across multiple grocery banners during the term of the contract. The Vendor may also participate in consumer engagements events for ex. The Royal Winter Fair and may be called upon to sample at identified event activations throughout Ontario.
Brand Ambassadors will intercept and engage Ontario principal grocery shoppers to communicate the availability and key benefits of buying and eating Ontario commodities, as well as preparing recipes featuring locally sourced ingredients to persuade customers to sample product.
The Vendor will also be required to manage ancillaries as well as kitting, fulfillment, and shipping services in the delivery of the experiential marketing program. All materials must also be actively offered in French (translation provided by the Ministry).
