SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS and EVALUATION CRITERIA LISTED BELOW:


1 Ion source


Deliver focuses on noble gas ion beam with


-Ion current >5 µA at (5 keV, 0.2mm)


-Ion current >10nA at 10eV ion energy for charge neutralization


2 Electrostatic Lens


50 mm working distance with spot size < 0.2mm, with a closed-loop constant beam current regulation and beam scan area up to 10 x 10 mm² with a keystone correction.


3 Remote control


Any of above functions are fully remote operatable over TCP/IP network and integrable into an EPICS system.


4 Mechanical


Must meet the operation requirements of the beamline ultra-high vacuum end station:


- The unit is compatible with the vacuum system with base pressure <1 × 10⁻⁹ torr.


- The operation pressure in main chamber must be below 5e-7torr


- Mounts via a standard CF2.75" O.D. UHV flange.


- A differential pumping function to maintain good vacuum integrity.
