Fender Replacement and Maintenance at Berth B76 and B77– Harbor Development Permit No. 26-010

The contract involves the in-kind replacement of nine timber piles, each approximately 80 feet long and 16 inches in diameter, at Berths B76 and B77 in the Port of Long Beach, with six piles at B76 and three at B77. The work will be conducted using a vibratory hammer and crane mounted on a 150-foot by 50-foot barge, ensuring minimal disruption to port operations. Alongside the pile replacements, maintenance tasks include installing and repairing pile wraps and restoring wooden walers to maintain structural integrity and protective functions. The project is governed under Harbor Development Permit No. 26-010 and is forecasted to be posted on June 9, 2026. All work is to be performed in Long Beach, California, with environmental oversight provided by the Port of Long Beach, and primary points of contact are Tyler Hanks, Environmental Specialist Intern, and Kelli Totten, Environmental Manager.
