Finkbiner Park Multi-Benefit Stormwater Capture

The City of Glendora is implementing the Finkbiner Park Multi-Benefit Stormwater Capture Project in Glendora, California. The primary objective is to construct a regional stormwater runoff capture facility designed to improve flood control, water quality, and water supply. This involves diverting runoff from two adjacent drainage features into an underground capture, treatment, and infiltration facility located beneath existing ballfields. The project aims to achieve regional-scale pollutant load reductions within the USGR Watershed and increase infiltration into the underlying groundwater aquifer. In addition to the stormwater infrastructure, the project includes the in-kind replacement of demolished facilities with new recreation features and the conversion of the northern site boundary alley into a green alley using permeable pavement. Further enhancements in the southeast portion of the site will include the installation of a recirculating stream, native landscaping, and an adjacent path for passive recreation. The project has been approved following a determination that it will not have a significant environmental effect, with all necessary mitigation measures and monitoring plans adopted in accordance with CEQA.
