The existing fire alarm system in BLDG 7210 7211, Marine DKET 9927, 2030, 2040, 2034, 2035 ROWPU, 7090, 7091, 2800 and 3300 not connected to the EOC/EMS office. In the event of a fire, the system is not capable of notifying the EOC/EMS office or cutting off the mechanical system and power. Upgrade current fire alarm system in the buildings to meet national fire protection association (NFPA) requirements and in the event of a fire, will notify EOC/EMS, and cut power to power supply and HVAC. Buildings for this project will include. Life safety requirement. Notification to EOC/EMS dispatch will also enable a response after business hours when the facilities are not in use. Mission impact: In case of a fire emergency in the building, the fire alarm system would not notify dispatch and fire could go unnoticed and unabated until it was too late to react properly. Failure of fire alarm system could also lead to loss of equipment, and become life health and safety for the personnel.
