AI Contract Overview
Brevard County is seeking a single carrier or administrator to provide group-sponsored Accident, Hospital Indemnity, and Critical Illness/Cancer coverage starting January 1, 2027. This initiative aims to transition these voluntary employee-paid benefits from various individual providers to a centralized group-administered system. While employees may keep existing individual plans from providers like Aflac, Allstate, and Colonial Life, those plans will no longer be eligible for payroll deductions or on-site enrollment. The solicitation, identified as RFP 1-26-12-2026, was posted on July 7, 2026, with a response deadline of July 28, 2026. This expansion complements the existing group term life, disability, and AD&D coverage currently managed through Standard Insurance Company. Interested parties should submit their proposals through the designated vendor link to the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners.
