The proposed project would include the demolition of the existing structures and construction of a 40-acre regional park that would include various recreation features and site amenities. The proposed project would consist of an amphitheater that would include a stage, concrete dance floor, tiered seating, and speakers as well as allow for temporary lighting; the amphitheater would host events such as concerts, plays, and celebratory events. Additional recreational elements would include an outdoor skate park, dog park, multi-use athletic fields with stadium lighting, a disc golf course, a pickleball court complex with speakers and full-court outdoor basketball courts. The new park would feature a playground, outdoor fitness equipment area, a trail loop, a community learning garden, picnic areas, and a central plaza with water fountain. Public art pieces would be placed throughout the site to honor community heroes. The proposed project would include landscaping and open space areas throughout the site. The proposed project would operate seven days a week between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. The proposed project would include the installation of lighting throughout the project site to enhance visibility and ensure public safety. Perimeter fencing would be installed around the project site to restrict access during non-operational hours. Ingress/egress would be provided via three new driveways.
