Provide complete architectural and engineering (A-E) services and deliver full design and construction documents to install a new raised concrete pad and supporting infrastructure on the airfield at MCBH, K-Bay to support Navy's new Commercial Off-The-Shelf PAR (Precision Approach Radar) equipment and shelter. Scope of work for this project includes site prep required for a new concrete pad, construction of a new concrete pad approximately 40 feet by 20 feet near the existing PAR off of Taxiway Alpha, installation of site electrical to support the PAR, installation of back-up generator as required, installation of communication infrastructure to include underground fiber optic lines and conduits to support Single Mode fiber optics, and installation of a separate grounding system for lightning protection/obstruction (as required). Areas affected by repair/construction will be in compliance with applicable ATFP, fire suppression, seismic, accessibility, ASHRAE, LEED, and flood plain codes and standards (as required). Work shall include but not limited to communicating and coordinating with all involved MCBH stakeholders and NAVFAC agencies; organizing & setting up design presentations for the preliminary & 35% design submittal, meetings, distributing document deliverables (physically & electronically) and do thorough / complete site surveys / investigations. The latest MCBH Design & Construction Standard shall be followed as well as any updated requirements obtained from MCBH Facilities Depart. Note: This is a NAVAIR funded project and is not funded by MCBH’s O&M appropriations. Additionally, SOW & cost estimate doesn't reflect trenching across Taxiway Alpha. If trenching is required for elect./comm work, an updated DD1391 & Cost Estimate will be required.
