Piggly Wiggly Alabama Distribution Center
Solicitation # SS 26 27 47
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services intends to enter into a single-source agreement with the Piggly Wiggly Alabama Distribution Center for the Fresh from Florida Grocery Retailer Marketing Program. This procurement, identified by solicitation number SS 26 27 47, is justified under Florida Statutes 120.57(3) and 287.057(3) due to the vendor's unique and irreplaceable ability to provide comprehensive marketing services across its extensive retail network. The scope of work includes the distribution of branded in-store signage, inclusion of the Fresh from Florida logo in weekly circulars, digital content promotion via websites and social media, and the execution of in-store sampling events. These activities are designed to increase consumer awareness and sales of Florida agricultural products across more than 250 store locations spanning Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina. The contract is estimated to have a value between $35,000.00 and $60,000.00, with a performance period beginning upon execution and concluding on June 30, 2027. Because this is a non-competitive, single-source acquisition, there is no formal evaluation process or competitive bidding required; instead, the award is based on the vendor's exclusive distribution capabilities and established retail relationships. While this notice serves as a statutory advertisement of intent, prospective vendors who believe they can provide the required commodities or services must submit relevant information to the procurement contact by the deadline of September 15, 2026. All marketing efforts must strictly adhere to departmental guidelines regarding the use of the Fresh from Florida brand and logo.
