J24 NE Facility Parking Lot Improvements

The J24 NE Facility Parking Lot Improvements project, managed by the Imperial Irrigation District, focuses on rehabilitating existing paved and aggregate-base parking areas at the J24 Northend Facility located on Hovely Road in Brawley, California. The primary objectives are to restore deteriorated surfaces, improve site drainage, and maintain safe and functional access to the facility. All work is designated to occur within the existing developed facility footprint, and the project has been granted a CEQA categorical exemption under Class 1, Section 15301, as it does not expand or change the existing use of the site. The scope of work includes the replacement of approximately 1.6 acres of asphalt pavement and underlying aggregate base, which involves regrading and compacting the base before placing new asphalt. Additionally, the project requires the installation of approximately 2,070 square feet of new concrete driveway and 2,095 square feet of concrete ribbon gutter. To further enhance drainage to existing storm drain inlets, approximately 0.87 acres of aggregate-base parking surface will undergo fine-grading. To ensure environmental compliance during construction, the contractor must implement a Stormwater and Erosion Control Plan as well as a Water Pollution Control Plan.
