Nature of Project The Commissioners Court of Nueces County (hereinafter called the “County”) will accept sealed competitive proposals for Janitorial Services in accordance with the Specification and other Contract Documents prepared By the County. The contract is to furnish Nueces County with janitorial services for a term of twelve (12) months beginning upon execution of a contract, with an option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year terms if mutually acceptable to the Contractor and Nueces County. This contract is expected to begin on November 5, 2026, or later date upon Commissioners Court approval of contract documents. This contract may be terminated by the County for any reason by giving sixty (60) days’ written notice of intent to terminate. Such notice of termination shall be in writing and shall be effective on a date determined by the County, but in no event more than sixty (60) days from the date of written notice. In the event this contract expires before another contract is awarded, the Contractor shall extend the contract on a month-to-month basis by mutual agreement. The contract amount for services and goods, rendered by the Proposer to the County, shall be calculated at a single hourly rate to be set out in the Proposal Response Form. County will not compensate the Proposer at a rate greater than the hourly rate specified regardless of any premium paid by the Proposer to its employees for overtime, weekend, holidays, or any other premium wage consideration. Such premium pay is the sole responsibility of the Proposer along with any and all such deductions such as Federal withholding, FICA, unemployment compensation, worker’s compensation, insurance, etc. The billing rate is intended to be representative of an all-inclusive cost to the County on a per month basis. This figure shall remain constant for each contract year. The Proposer shall perform the services rendered as an independent contractor under the sole supervision, management, direction, and control of the Proposer. Such providers of services shall not be considered employees of Nueces County. Scope of Work The Scope of Services for this project is detailed fully in the attachment(s) below: • Attachment B – Scope of Work Delivery of Proposal All forms in Proposal Packet and all requirements in Statement of Qualifications are to be completed, signed, dated and returned by the Due Date/Time shown above.
