Marin Montessori School Modular Sport Court Project

The project at Marin Montessori School involves installing a 60 by 56 foot modular sport court on an existing upland grass field, featuring a permeable base and a fully permeable interlocking surface system. Minor grading and leveling of the field will prepare the site, followed by the addition of two basketball hoops and a new 42-inch-high fence to complement the existing fencing. Adjacent to the school building, the current concrete paver and gravel patio will be removed and replaced with a Truegrid surface over a permeable aggregate base to improve drainage and sustainability. Further improvements include minor repairs to the public pathway’s crushed granite surface and the replacement of an aging public picnic table. The project is facilitated by the City of Corte Madera and is located in Corte Madera, California, with Tracy Hegarty of the city serving as the primary point of contact and Karl Reichstetter of the school acting as the project manager.
