Mule Creek Vegetated Bioswales Reconstruction (Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. AMA-65754-R2)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number AMA-65754-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. This project is being implemented by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at the Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, California, in response to a court order. The primary objective is to reconstruct existing drainage features into vegetated bioswales to manage stormwater flows, mitigate flooding and erosion, and reduce the amount of pollutants and sedimentation entering the downstream watercourse.
