Notice of Exemption Special Repair/Deferred Maintenance FY 2025/2026 Allocation# 04

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, through the Office of Facility Planning, Construction, and Management, is executing various Special Repair and Deferred Maintenance projects for fiscal year 2025-2026 under Allocation 04. These statewide projects are designed to maintain prison facilities and ensure the continuity of public safety operations. The work is performed within existing prison properties and is categorized as exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under Class 1 due to negligible environmental impact. The primary point of contact for these activities is Peter J. Connelly, Jr., Supervising Environmental Planner. The scope of work includes a diverse range of infrastructure improvements across multiple institutions, including PBSP, SAC, COR, MCSP, ISP, SQRC, CMC, and PVSP. Key deliverables involve the replacement of HVAC systems, repairs to spray-applied fireproofing in administrative buildings, storm and sanitary sewer repairs, and the renovation of water tanks. Additionally, the project covers the design phase for EPA AOC and repairs to mental health offices. The total financial allocation for these projects is divided into 83,000 dollars for deferred maintenance and 1,876,058 dollars for special repairs, with specific high-value tasks including mental health office repairs at 597,672 dollars and fireproofing repairs at 500,000 dollars.
