WIB 24 August 2023 NEPA WON 1789228 CBMM 23224739 1. FUNDING SOURCE: CNIC 2. EXECUTION TEAM: FEAD 3. WORK LOCATION: NBC-335 4. TENANT LOCATION POC INFO: -LOC POC COMMAND: NAVFAC 5. ISSUE & IMPACT if not completed: - Rooftop package units are beyond their life cycle, they are no longer energy efficient and beyond economical repair. - Unhealthy condition due to poor ventilation of air flow for personnel and IDS equipment, may cause work stoppage. -Building Digital Controls are obsolete and have become difficult to maintain and monitor. Controllers and sensors are subject to frequent failures. Contractor projects have replaced controllers in new equipment but has not been integrated into NAE. a) Mission Need Date ( MND ): FY25 6. FULL PROJECT SCOPE: -Replace the following HVAC units and equipment to include the following… - Units - M812209, M810276, M810277, M810278, M810279, M816025, M816022, M810381, M816023, M816024, and M502803. - Electrical Disconnects - Electrical conduit and wiring -Replace entire DDC Equipment to include the following… -wire and conduit -controls to be replaced with DDC -2x Vent fans. 7. PLANNING DOCUMENTS: No 8. NEPA/ENVIRONMENTAL: Yes. If the project encounters active nests, which may potentially be present on the rooftops or other crevices of the buildings, the executing agent/contractor must coordinate with the NBC biologist (619-545-3703) to ensure that work will avoid impacting birds protected under the MBTA.
