NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics San Diego (FLCSD) intends to award a Brand Name Sole Source contract to GOENGINEER, INC, 1787 Port Union Blvd Ste 200, Salt Lake City, UT 84121- 2886 for the annual maintenance of the Dimension STR Fortus 250mc Emerald Care for periods, Base Year and 2 Options Years, in support of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Expeditionary Support Unit One (EODESU-1), San Diego, CA 92155-5401. Stratasys is the manufacturer of the existing 3D Printer and Goengineer Inc is the only authorized service provider in San Diego, Ca area. FLCSD will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). In accordance with FAR 5.102(a) (6), the required justification documentation is attached (See Note 22). This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 4:00 PM 15 March 2019 PST via email to contact@example.gov A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
