Notice of Intent to Increase Ceiling on Contract N66001-15-C-4070

This is a Notice of intent to increase the ceiling of Contract N66001-15-C-4070 awarded on behalf of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Information Innovation Office (I2O) on 15 September 2015 for a 54-month base period. The effort under the contract is in support of the DARPA Brandeis Program to enable individuals, enterprises, and U.S. Government agencies to keep private and/or proprietary information private. The performer, Galois Inc., is currently under contract to perform research on privacy preserving computations utilizing a differential privacy and secure multi-party computation strategy in conjunction with various machine learning techniques. Under this additional effort, the contractor shall apply their privacy-preserving computation research on Census Bureau data. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541712 Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology). Due to the nature of Research and Development efforts, DARPA could not have reasonably estimated the results and additional needs for the research under this program. This action includes a ceiling increase of approximately $249,901. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes, however, interested parties may submit comments in writing to the Contract Specialist, Mr. Israel Alvarado, Code 22530, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific who may be reached by telephone at +1 (555) 000-0000 or via email to contact@example.gov. This notice will be posted for 15 days. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
