The purchase order is for the acquisition of the Metals Analytical Review & Reporting System (MARRS), which is a data processing report generation software system that will automate and enhance the present inorganic analytical quality assurance and production processes for the Total Diet Survey Program and Regulatory Samples Analyses at the FDA's Kansas City Laboratory (KAN-LAB). The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i)--Soliciting from a single source-for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. The MARRS system is also proprietary to EISC. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 541511. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, any firm that believes it can provide this equipment must submit written notification of interest and capability to the Contract Specialist by no later than September 10, 2015, 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
