The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) requires the services of Makivvik Corporation to provide logistical and coordination support for the 2025 Nunavut Fishery Regulations Consultation Meeting for Nunavik.
The objective of this requirement is to secure logistical and planning services to ensure the full participation of Inuit rightsholders from Nunavik in the 2025 Nunavut Fishery Regulations Consultation Meeting. This includes coordinating travel, accommodations, per diems, consultation fees, and interpretation services to enable up to eighteen (18) representatives from the Anguvigaq and Anguvigait communities to attend the two-day meeting in Montreal, QC.
The Contractor will be responsible for providing logistical and coordination services in support of the 2025 Nunavut Fishery Regulations Consultation Meeting for Nunavik. The work will include:
1. Coordinating and arranging travel, accommodations, per diems, and consultation fees for up to eighteen (18) representatives from the Anguvigaq and Anguvigait communities.
2. Arranging and financing interpretation services (English–Inuktitut) for the two-day meeting in Montreal, QC.
3. Ensuring participants are informed of their responsibilities and able to fully participate in the consultation process.
4. Providing administrative and financial support necessary to deliver the above services in accordance with the timelines set by DFO.
The services will be delivered in Montreal, QC, with preparatory and administrative work occurring prior to the meeting.
