The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – West (MRCO-West) is issuing this Sources Sought notice to find potential sources to provide Optical Fabrication Lab equipment in support of the Optical Fabriation Lab at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX.
The Government will use responses to this notice in formulating its acquisition strategy. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regardless of submissions.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES
The Government requires interested offerors who can provide the entirety of the brand-name items listed below:
Optical Fabrication equipment must support the Fabricaton Sysyem provided by Satisloh North America and shall be:
- capable of utilizing non-alloy components to adhere a lens to a block
- capable of UV-curing to minimize blocking component cooling time
- capable of automatically adjusting prism angle, prism basis, and blocking chuck axis
- capable of polishing lenses on alloy-free blocks
- include a "no-touch" lens cleaning process; it shall not require manual pre-cleaning of the lenses
- capable of separating alloy-free blocks and adhesive material from the lens
- capable of drying both side of the lens, making inspection-ready

SUBMISSION DETAILS
The Government will not review general capability statements, please ensure submissions are tailored to this brand-name requirement. The Government requests Capabilities Statements be submitted electronically in PDF or MS Word format. Offeror's responses shall not exceed ten (10) pages single-sided - standard 8 ½ X 11 pages using not less than 10-pitch font -- and shall describe the offerors technical expertise in sufficient detail to make an informed determination of the offerors ability to successfully provide the brand-name products listed herein.
