This contract involves the development and testing of an oxygen generation system sponsored by AES, aiming to create a prototype capable of operating safely at pressures up to 3,000 PSI. The primary objective is to eliminate the safety hazards commonly associated with hydrogen by using oxygen-compatible materials that do not combust, thereby ensuring intrinsic safety throughout the system. The project focuses on designing an oxygen generation solution that is inherently safe and reliable for use in sensitive environments. The contract is a small business set-aside opportunity under the NAICS code 541715 and is overseen by NASA’s Johnson Space Center. The place of performance is located in Salt Lake City. Key points of contact include John C. Graf and Small Business Specialist Tumarrow Romain, who can provide additional information about the requirement. This initiative represents a strategic effort to improve oxygen generation technology with a strong emphasis on safety and operational integrity.
