Pond, Oliver, Howard New Pier (Lake Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. PLA- 43254-R2)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Amendment No. 1 to Lake Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. PLA-43254-R2 for project applicant Randall Pond. Located at 3240 Edgewater Drive in Tahoe City, California, the project is authorized under Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code and is granted a categorical exemption under California Code of Regulations title 14, sections 15303 and 15304. The scope of work involves widening a portion of a pier at Lake Tahoe to accommodate two additional boatlifts, which requires the installation of six 10.75 inch diameter pilings and three wide flange W10x49 pilings. In addition to the pier modifications, the agreement requires the removal of two mooring buoy anchor blocks from the lake. To mitigate environmental impact, the project includes a fish habitat enhancement deliverable consisting of 11 square feet of 6 to 8 inch cobbles added to the lakebed. Administrative oversight is provided by Patrick Moeszinger, a Senior Environmental Scientist with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Region 2 Northern Central office.
