HWRP Flare System Replacement and Battery B Digester Demolition (W.O. SZH12229 and SZH12318 / CIP Nos. 2520 and 2528)

The City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works Bureau of Engineering is managing the HWRP Flare System Replacement and Battery B Digester Demolition projects, identified under CIP Nos. 2520 and 2528. Key operational requirements include strict adherence to the Los Angeles Fire Code for construction safety, compliance with Los Angeles or El Segundo noise ordinances, and the implementation of best management practices for the protection of cultural resources. Performance of the new flare system must be demonstrated to the SCAQMD to ensure all emission requirements are met.
